Normally, I'd start with some sort of celebration, but after what happened in April, you're all getting rules.
The iron fist is coming down!
First, some oldies:
1. Please don't advertise for your videos. Jesus, it's one thing to partake in something, a whole different thing to enjoy seeing someone else do it. This is why gaming and similar things will never become a spectator sport.
2. No gimmicks! Jesus, that Kitty Genovese thing was the fucking last straw. I'm still not 100% sure who was behind it (though I've got my ideas) but you're one dumb fuck.
3. Please, please don't post about how much you think ICP/Slipknot/Marilyn Manson are the composers of your work. We're not a bunch of faggy goths hanging out in the goddamned Hot Topic, okay? In fact, I'd prefer it if music wasn't brought up at all.
4. I'm going to start filtering the naughty words that you've never been supposed to say but have always posted anyway. Words will be filtered into their safe versions but a tag will surround it saying it had to be filtered. One warning and anything more: you're out.
5. Please don't refer friends and family unless the number drops.
New Rules:
1. Do not leave your email in your profile! This is very important after what happened in April. It won't stop that thing from happening again, but it'll make it a lot harder for them. If you do put it in your profile, I will warn you, then I will ban-spank you if you put it back/keep it there.
If you absolutely need to know someone's email or AIM/Yahoo/MSN name, PM them.
2. Please, no more fucking pictures. No fucking pictures! This is why Oldboy is in deep shit.
3. Threatening people who decide not to show up to CubeCon is now bannable. Yes, I wish it wasn't like this, but once again, this is how JohnnyDiver got Oldboy into so much trouble.
4. The number has fallen from 25 to 20 (JohnnyDiver, Oldboy, Whatchu T. Willis, Spaceman Jeff, and Oxnyz03 are all gone for obvious reasons) and the number is staying at 20.
5. No more gay-bashing. Yes, I know most of you think of gays as weaklings, girly, etc. but it's no less a prejudice stereotype than those black jokes so many got banned for back in 2002. Narrow mindedness should not exist in a group like this. So lay off Mr. Radical (yes, the rumors are true).

Q. Wait, I was gone through March and April, what the hell happened with Johnny and Oldboy?
A. To make a long story not so long, JohnnyDiver started having second thoughts about CubeCon 2004 and decided to bail out, which was okay with just about everyone except Oldboy, Spaceman Jeff, and Oxnyz03, who have had a weird one-sided rivalry with Johnny for some time. A huge thread (Johnny Diver: Man or Meat?) was started by Oldboy which not only flamed Johnny for
not attending CC, but threatened him and his family. Spaceman and Oxnyz soon joined Oldboy's antics, posting pictures of what they were planning to do to him.
JohnnyDiver was not happy. What does he do? Go to the fucking police. A huge investigation is launched and even more incriminating evidence is found against the three flamers (Um...not a gay joke). Information about a relationship between Spaceman Jeff and WTW is found out and WTW...well, he just disappeared. The police think that THC is a place where this is rather commonplace and we are shut down for a while. Now we're using a different message board system and a different (free) website server. Yes, free, and I hate it.
Q. So was CubeCon 2004 cancelled?
A. As sad as it makes me to say, yes.
Q. But there will be a CubeCon 2005, right?
A. Yup, Mr. Radical's already setting things up.
Q. Any positions for mods as of now?
A. No, Mr. Radical will be appointed first, of course, but I don't think we really need anybody else for now. We're a relatively small community (which is good), we don't need a massive police force.
Q. Hey, come only half of the crew's (not counting the Forsaken Five) here?
A. It's taken me a while to get contact information for all the old members and find times when they're online and the like. Plus, some may not get around to joining until tomorrow or maybe even the day after.
