I know most of you will not believe me, and only a few more will continue working with us here.
Look, a lot of bad stuff happened the last couple of days when this forum will running. A few people took advantage of it. I come to you a broken man. I will not tell you any stories until I explained what happened with the Something Awful members.
-Using a hint dropped in a thread, Senor Bambos of SomethingAwful was able to brute force (might be the wrong term; I am not very knowledgable with computers) the password and log on to these forums as an admin. Because the original lilovetofix and his underlings were simply moderators/global moderators, he was able to alter their information and logged on under them. Ilovetofix was busy doing something else as this was happening. I will explain further on.
-Senor Bambos had, at this time, already befriended ViralDetector, who I assume had grown bored after getting the phone call from ilovetofix.
-Bambos posts the prank/reveal threads before quickly leaving the forums, possibly to avoid punishment.
-It becomes clear ilove is not coming back.
-Bambos once again logs in, registers harrispi and posts the detective notice. The whole premise behind such a thing is laughable.
-Bambos gloats, using the few coincidences connecting him to the Wyoming Incident and information that had already been known.
I could go into a long monologue about the quality of character of this fellow, but I will instead post all evidence that contradicts him actually being behind the Happy Cube or the Wyoming Incident.
-When asked what the yet-to-be-named music for some of the videos was, Bambos simply ignored the question, though he answered many others.
-Bambos claims OC_James was in on the whole prank and was a Something Awful member. OC_James never confirmed this (or even posted about it), and Senor Bambos claims that it is because he hates the internet. Why would someone who hates the internet spend so much time on an elaborate, internet-based "prank"?
-Bambos used the fact that he was from Anderson, Indiana as solid evidence he was behind this all, despite there being at least two other people on Something Awful (in that one thread anyway) who admitted they lived in Anderson and that it was a fairly large town.
-Bambos claims the reticulation filter was used in the videos. Anyone who watches this can examine it and tell that the "squares" which make up the video do not fit the typical "static" caused by the reticulation filter.
-Senor Bambos picked and chose questions in the Something Awful thread. It is very easy to tell that he is choosing questions to which the answer is known by most of the people following the "storyline" or can be easily made up.
-Not long after the reveal, when asked if there was some final way he could prove being behind the "game/prank", he simply ignored the request.
-Bambos promised to release the seventh video within two weeks after the reveal. He has not mentioned it since, and, saving one occasion, has not even mentioned the Wyoming Incident period.
-He claimed to have an extensive history of hoaxes on Something Awful. This "history" consists of one poorly-written, fake news story that was disproved halfway into the first page.
-The story he claimed to have written ("The Masks We Wear") had been posted in an older thread on SomethingAwful, and evidence points to it not being by him but having been written by a now absent poster. iliketofix never claimed to have written the story anyway. He only claimed that Paranoia inspired it.
-The "unseen" screenshots Bambos originally posted were mediocre lookalikes created by a blogger who first helped to spread the WI video. Notable difference is them being more distinct-looking with squarish-curves instead of the more natural ones seen in the actual videos.
-Bambos claims to have uploaded the video this year, though there is mention of it going back as far as early fall of 2006 on Something Awful.
You may believe this all to be fake, but look at all of this evidence. Doesn't it seem to you that Bambos is nothing but an opportunistic hack who saw an opportunity to make a name for himself and latched onto it? What about the private forums, where it was revealed that no one had "broken character", and yet, no exposition had been revealed there? What would be the purpose of a forum like that? There are many questions Bambos seems reluctant to answer. He is reluctant because he knows no answer. He is a liar, and he has ruined the one thing that brought him any real attention. I am sure that is punishment enough for now.
Now I will tell you what happened the day this all broke down.
ilovetofix and the aspect of Paranoia calling itself Hackjob Johnny were set to meet with representatives of two of Paranoia's brothers. It was hoped that an alliance could be formed. Unbeknownst to ilovetofix, many of the Children were working for the brothers. They attempted to discredit him on the Happy Cube, before turning against him and killing him. What comes after this is not known for certain, but I have some beliefs which I believe cover the rest of the story. The representatives of the two brothers arrived and successfully killed Hackjob Johnny, who had managed to fight off the children who attacked him.
The Temple of Paranoia was invaded. I had been sent to meet with an associate for the week. When I returned, every priest in the temple was missing. I found an etching in a room deep within the temple. It simply read "SHADOW". Checking around and looking up information, it was very easy figuring out what had happened. I went in to hiding not long after and completely turned on my Father Paranoia. I return now, very aware that I may soon be killed. However, I will have the satisfaction of knowing I tried to fix things. I will try to set things right again.
The one thing I have not figured out is the code on this site. Somebody still had access here and was checking in on things. Somebody wanted to say something. I am trying all I can to keep them from getting back in, and all passwords have been altered. I just wish I could figure the code out.
Please, help me. I am lost. Paranoia has not spoken to me, as I do not have power to draw him in alone. I fear for the worst. There are things that I can attempt, but at least a fraction of you will have to work with me. I can understand if you walk away from me now. I am perfectly aware of how ridiculous all of this may seem. I know what childish antics you have all been subjected to. Please, help me. Pretend it's a story or a game if it helps. Pretend this is all the lead-in to some prank (though I believe in this you will be disappointed). Just help and follow along with me.
