So it seems that about half an hour ago, Bright posted a blog entry that has embedded the supposed seventh video. idontforgive.blogspot.com/www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6XtzlWhUj8I do not know if it is the genuine article, or if he or someone else made it themselves. All I know is it's best to avoid discussing the video with him. Something related to it might give us a clue as to where he is, but please, do not help him "find" any more. I have messaged Senor Bambos, requesting him to explain the possible origins of this video. Hopefully he'll be able to sort things out for us. |

That's interesting. It is exactly like the ones from the game. I wonder were he got it. The chances of Senor Bambos giving it to him are slim to none. I would say he made it himself, but it really is exactly like the old ones. Hmmmm...

Wow, he's a little early with video 7. But, matching that up with other videos... something just seems... off about it, honestly. Like, it looks like it's been done the right way but... the transition's just way too smooth as opposed to some of the others, so it's hard to tell.

I agree there is something off about it, it just seems cleaner, if you will, then the original ones.
Either there actually are 9 videos, or someone out there is playing a sick game with this man. Especially the message in the video, it's worded so that someone like Bright would probably convince himself it was meant specifically for him.

I think that we need to scrutinize every detail of any video's other than the ones posted in 2007.
I believe that senor bambos explained in the SA thread how exactly he made each video, so a hoax shouldn't be too hard to make, with the the same tools.

That changes things. So there was a mysterious individual who crafted the entire (or most of) ARG, implemented it through Bambos, and then let it die when it became, in a sense, a hoax. That 'Witness' user sounds like he could be Joseph Bright. |

That 'Witness' user sounds like he could be Joseph Bright. I'm not so sure. The idea deserves merit, but Witness didn't sign up until August of 2007, long after the reveal of the hoaxing. Besides, Bright says in his blog that he found everything in early 2007, and was at least here long enough for the goons to reveal everything. |

The real faces in the first 6 videos were done with Poser. These seem to be manipulated still frames. Also, the faces in this video seem to be more sinister than anything we saw in the first six.

The first 6 videos were stretched to fit their aspect ratio/became lossy through compression and there are frames missing from them which gives them their stuttering look.
The new video looks like it already fit the ratio it has been uploaded in and doesn't have frames missing.

the video looks relatively genuine to me, but still a bit off. there's the white stripe on the top of the frame about 3/4 into the video which stood out to me the most. the ending also seemed oddly abrupt, but that could just be me.
I was mostly a lurker here when this game was still on, and i probably still will be, but if i have any half-good ideas i'll be sure to spout them off.

this vid is definitely not a Bambos production. in addition to everything mentioned above, the font used is a touch too skinny as compared to the original, which is enough to convince me.
personally, i don't see it as being too far of a stretch to see bright making these new vids himself. being as ill as he presumably is, he would have no problem rationalizing (mentally) the act of creating a video and "giving it to himself".
of course, such behaviour would probably be classified as some form of schizophrenia or a multiple personality disorder. boardmod, does mr. bright have any history of such symptoms?

i don't mean to be a dick about this or to overstep your experience with him, but if he's running away to play an ARG that died two years ago, i think it's safe to assume that he's not thinking clearly by any stretch of the imagination.
again, not trying to be condescending or anything, but in a situation like this i think it's a good idea to keep our minds and options open until we have reason to settle on an explanation.

I understand what you're saying. It's just that a part of me was subconsciously hoping he was running away more over the warrant for his arrest than this game.
This theory and its likeliness just makes the matter seem much more glum than it already was. Didn't think that was even possible at this point.

Yeah, slow's right. boardmoderator should honestly consider a career in politics. He talks to us for hours and hours without truly saying anything. Even him divulging this information to us about the warrant for Joseph's arrent isn't helping matters. In fact, it just furthers the speculation, because we're wanting to know who he's working for and he won't divulge that. It may be possible the only way we can get the full story is to communicate with Joseph himself.

I'll be honest, I'd talked to some people with BPD before and they are nuts (and that's putting it lightly). I've been in communication with Joseph, and let me assure you, he seems perfectly rational. In fact, he's refreshingly honest. He answered all the questions I asked him. You're quickly losing your grip on the situation Boardmod, people are seriously questioning your motives. I sent you a demand yesterday that you failed to meet (or even reply to), so I'll restate it here (with a slight twist). I want two things from you. 1. I want the detective in charge of Joseph's case and full contact information for him 2. I want a copy of his arrest warrant. If Joseph did the things you say, neither of these things should be difficult. As far as I'm corcerned, Joseph is an innocent man playing a game. A game which you do nothing but help propagate. Give me the items that I request, and in return, I'll help you. Don't, and you've only solidified my concerns about you. Your choice sourpuss. |
