The Archives
The Archives, aside from explaining the history of Father Paranoia and his siblings in depth, contains brief glimpses into the future that were foreseen by special Priests working under Father. They wrote their predictions in brief, sometimes annoyingly vague sentences. I have selected a few to share with you.
"Paranoia will learn how costly the arrogance of man is more than once, and he will realize how risky it is to deal with them."
"A plan is whispered. Its outcome is already known. The plan's purpose is to fail."
"The Rifter is reborn, and his purpose in this tale has changed greatly."
"The winner wears a mask."
"There exists a well of life in the valley of the Sickness. It is where hope lives in the bleakest of times."
"The prisoner can only escape by destroying his prison."
"Paranoia is blinded. His eyes go white."
"The figure strikes them with his cane; it leaves behind no bruise or mark - only a ravenous bacteria."
"What will happen when the lights go off? The Shadows could cover everything once more."
"He has a death wish. You would have to be blind not to see it."
"If something must change, then something must die."
"Mankind, perhaps only subconsciously, will be well-aware of the war. Its casualties will reach the trillions."
"There is a door, and there is a window. A choice must be made."
"The paths cross. Some will meet twice."
"The Children are right. The Children are wrong."
"The truth is that there is no truth. Everything is built from belief."
I know what some of this may mean, but I'd like to see what you think about all of this as the first test you'll be doing for me (and probably one of the few - I am not some sort of slave master). ilike had you all study GMiller's journal and work to get the videos. ilove read into your personal life and subjected you to one of our rituals. Now, I test you with interpretation. Some of these predictions date back hundreds of years, and some of them date back only a few. They could refer to things that have already happened, things that may happen, and things that will happen. I want to hear what you think.

Just a quick question, if it's fit to ask.
Are all the events that the predictions fortell major, in the sense that they had some large, noticeable effect? I only ask because seemingly mundane things might have had a greater effect than what's realized.

I only ask because seemingly mundane things might have had a greater effect than what's realized. Yes, there will be many inconspicuous events that will serve a great purpose, though that is not to say that all of the major effects will have seemingly mundane origins. I should add that it does not matter if you get the prediction right. I would be astonished if some of these prophecies were to be properly understood. This is only a test in interpretive skills.

Correct, or even near correct interpretation isn't my best forte, but here goes. I apologize in advance if these are extremely vague.
"Paranoia is blinded. His eyes go white." "He has a death wish. You would have to be blind not to see it."
Could these two quotes possibly be related, and talking about the recent killing of 'Hackjob Johnny'?
"If something must change, then something must die."
This, I suppose, could also be reffering to the recent events. Perhaps the death of this aspect of Paranoia and Love will spark a change in the 'ranks' of the Muses and their paths?
"Mankind, perhaps only subconsciously, will be well-aware of the war. Its casualties will reach the trillions."
Paranoia itself, I suppose. Subconsciously, even the most sure people are a bit paranoid. Everyone must 'battle' their irrational fears, but it can cause a good many of people to go crazy, commit suicide, or even kill.
I read into a lot of the other quotes, but I highly doubt my interpretations would make even the slightest sense.
Edit: I also have a feeling I've misinterpreted a lot of new information. I need to go and re-read everything a couple of times.

"Paranoia will learn how costly the arrogance of man is more than once, and he will realize how risky it is to deal with them."
I -think- this one refers to how Paranoia became trapped in 1969. Possibly he's being set up for a further fall?
"A plan is whispered. Its outcome is already known. The plan's purpose is to fail."
My gut instinct is to say this refers to Maraino and Calliope. Their 'plan' is actually just a diversion, intended not to succeed on its own but merely to distract the servants of Paranoia at a crucial time.
"The Rifter is reborn, and his purpose in this tale has changed greatly."
Jamie Wilson?
"The winner wears a mask."
Thalia? Melpomene? Even whatshisname, the dark muse of repulsive things? They're the ones I remember off the top of the head as being related to masks.
"There exists a well of life in the valley of the Sickness. It is where hope lives in the bleakest of times."
This reminds me of Pandora's box, but I'm not sure how that relates to the current situation. Conversely, it could refer to Calliope. Maybe she's been cheering Maraino up (how sweet).
"The prisoner can only escape by destroying his prison."
This could be either Paranoia or Gem. Either one might have to destroy what's trapping him in order to gain his freedom. If it's Paranoia, does that mean he has to destroy himself?
"Paranoia is blinded. His eyes go white."
Paranoia is trapped, and can't see what the hell's going on outside his prison.
"The figure strikes them with his cane; it leaves behind no bruise or mark - only a ravenous bacteria."
Oh yay! Maraino's spreading disease! Is it my birthday already?
"What will happen when the lights go off? The Shadows could cover everything once more."
Maybe this is linked to the word 'shadow' being found in the Academy? It could be suggesting that what happened there could happen again. Possibly in that town in Nebraska.
"He has a death wish. You would have to be blind not to see it."
Maraino's trying to hasten the death of everything, including himself. Maybe he doesn't want to die the winner so much as he just wants to end his own miserable existance.
"If something must change, then something must die."
To change the current situation, something has to die. Either that, or something has to die in order for it to change--the fact that it lives renders it effectively unchanging.
"Mankind, perhaps only subconsciously, will be well-aware of the war. Its casualties will reach the trillions."
This seems very straightforward. Is some people gonna die? Yes they is.
"There is a door, and there is a window. A choice must be made."
There are two ways out, but only one can be taken. Out of what? Maybe Paranoia's prison, or Gem's? Of the current situation as a whole?
"The paths cross. Some will meet twice."
There are points at which mankind can effectively choose which path it wants to continue down. These points can occur more than once between any two paths. Just because we start down one, doesn't mean we can't change our minds later on.
"The Children are right. The Children are wrong."
Some Children are right, and some are wrong? Or is there an assumption all of them hold, that is only partially true?
"The truth is that there is no truth. Everything is built from belief."
There is no objective truth about this situation--there is no one path that is indisputably the best, and there are no players that can be considered the 'good guys'. What we know of the situation, and of the future, is defined by what we believe about the situation.

"He has a death wish. You would have to be blind not to see it."
I thought that this might be a reference to Maraino, who wants to die as the most powerful of the muses.

In the thread Question Series #3 Love said that, I absolutely refuse to base any information on what you have done over the internet. The internet is nothing more than a mask and nothing to judge a person by.
Maybe this somehow relates to "The winner wears a mask."

The winner wears the internet sounds good to me. Should we really just relate these to the current situation? I kinda fancied the predictions being a little more connected to the outside world.

A plan is whispered. Its outcome is already known. The plan's purpose is to fail. (Does this have to do with the knife and book drop earlier on?)
The winner wears a mask. (Someone will have to find a mask of somesort. Is there a mask that would be xtremely valuable to Paranoia?)
There exists a well of life in the valley of the Sickness. It is where hope lives in the bleakest of times. (Recently. there has been talk of some cure to AIDs found in Africa. AIDs came from Africa...so this could be relevant.)
What will happen when the lights go off? The Shadows could cover everything once more. (Does this point to a future occurance? A powerouttage? Solar Eclipse?)
He has a death wish. You would have to be blind not to see it. (I wonder if this has to do with the Paranoia is blind. His eyes go white. comment. Then again, it may have been an allusion to the Dark Children uprising that has recently occured. Paranoia didn't see it coming.)
If something must change, then something must die. (Man, we have had a lot of Paranoia mouthpieces as of late, each with their own personality.)
The truth is that there is no truth. Everything is built from belief. (Religion throughout the ages?)
(That is all I have for now.)

"Paranoia will learn how costly the arrogance of man is more than once, and he will realize how risky it is to deal with them."
SomethingAwful hijacking, perhaps. Maybe getting trapped in 1969, as well.
"The Rifter is reborn, and his purpose in this tale has changed greatly."
Jaime.
"The winner wears a mask." The winner is a Child.
"The truth is that there is no truth. Everything is built from belief." Neither the muses nor the dark muses are entirely correct. It just depends who you side with.
