Any signifigance to the overall story or are they just artistic expressions?

Imageshack adds two random letters and a number to each file. I think it's safe to say the suffixes mean nothing.

kinda daunting photos... the eyeless stuff really gets to you...
#1 reminded me of the blank faceless "masks" almost that are in some of the Videos. don't remember which.
perhaps #2 is one of the Children?
#3 somthing to do with Father Paranoia? perhaps dead people...? the people just standing in the sea seeming unafflicted by the water makes it seem that they perhaps are not physical beings [or a double exposure... heh]

The first 2 seem strangely familier...
The third though, im not sure at all. I cant quite make out what the sign says, and it looks like theres something up with the mountains/hills in the back of it including that larger figure.

I went through Photoshop and with the filters reversed the colors. It looks like the sign reads "WARNING Black Of Water US Dept Public Health" |
