The Thing being the fellow mentioned in the Persons of Interest thread. Quite disappointing, I'm afraid. This is sort of a rough translation. He kept switching between English, Portguese, Ancient Greek, and Esperanto for some reason...
I would really like to help to maintain what you consider a balance, but it would really just be a waste of my time. Eventually you are going to win with or without me. You are also going to lose. All things happen eventually. Yeah. Say that at any time, there is a one in a billion chance of something happening. Statistically speaking, this is going to happen at some point in time. Now remember that nothing is impossible, just improbable. No matter how unlikely and bizarre something is, there is a statistic possibility of it happening.
Now imagine that one of these scenarios is all of existence just resetting itself. There is both a possibility of this world being identical to its last incarnation, and there is a possibility it will be something slightly different (let's say a blade of grass sprouting that didn't exist in the previous world). Each one of these different worlds are going to have their own different outcomes. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose.
This whole situation does not even matter at all. Nothing ever ends, and all changes do is bring about the same patterns that have gone on since the beginning of time
However, because there are a few things at stake that may affect things in a slightly adverse way for this particular timeline, I will tell you one thing. There will be seven people who will practically determine how this ends all on their own.
Let's say sl ook you see. You know. That doesn't always happen. Food means many things. (I have no idea what this means)
Oh well. Here's to better luck with the others.
