Very, very worrying news. Aediastikos alluded to/warned us of a disease that causes uncontrollable growths of keratin on the body. He hinted that he was either on the verge of releasing it or had already done so. Today, I find this. (Some Disturbing Images) blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/03/missionary_enco.htmlWe will have to take steps to combat him preemptively, it seems. He does not seem to be bluffing or playing games anymore. Those of you who are active will soon be requested to take part in attempting to contact the one called Asag within the next few days. I have been hearing of disappearances, and BEK spottings are on the rise. The weather is acting increasingly erratic. A lot of animals seem scared. I have heard of ancient beings rising to begin their fight. Things are becoming very bad. I have sensed a presence trying to speak to me. I may let him eventually. The voice is familiar, but I doubt it can be fully trusted. If I listen to it, you may all hear it as well. Stay safe. Stay away from strange shadows and children.

The weather here has been...odd, to say the least. Last week, it was in the eighties. Now, it's back to twenties, with periods of snow.

Hey, My spanish is horrible but it looks like we may be getting a message on this image you linked too.
Under the comments titled: Anomalía dermatológica extrema: Yo me lo creo. El hombre, de Europa del Este, se ve afectado por una curiosa y vistosa anomalía en la piel. Le crecen desde su más tierna juventud una especie de formaciones de keratina que...bueno, vean.
Here is my bad translation: I am created it. The man, of East Europe, is itself affected by a peculiar and showy anomaly in the skin. They grow from his more tender youth to him a species of keratina formation that... good, sees.

Here is my bad translation: I am created it. The man, of East Europe, is itself affected by a peculiar and showy anomaly in the skin. They grow from his more tender youth to him a species of keratina formation that... good, sees. I can translate it more clearly. "Extreme dermatological anomaly: I'm creating it for myself. The man, from eastern Europe, appears affected by a curious and colorful anomaly on his skin. Since his most tender youth, there's been a type of keratin formation growing that... well, look for yourselves." It's not literal, and I changed the wording in a couple places to help convey the meaning better.

If anyone has any doubts about that article, im pretty sure its real. My mother (points to text in name lolz) has had some pretty some pretty extensive experience with skin abnormalities and things of the sort at the office shes worked at (ive heard many many stories and seen a few even) From what she looked into about the little details and given the situation, she was able to figure its probably real, or at the very least, pretty darn believable. Now for the translation, "im creating it for myself" thats lovely...

Now for the translation, "im creating it for myself" thats lovely... It is a real disease. It's called Lewandowsky-Lutz dysplasia. www.whonamedit.com/synd.cfm/1422.html : Also known as: Lutz’ syndrome Lewandowsky-Lutz syndrome Associated persons: Felix Lewandowsky Wilhelm Lutz Description: A generalized skin disease characterised by multiple papillomavirus-induced scaly macules anywhere on the skin and papules on the back of the hand. The disease is considered to be a precancerous form of epithelial nevi. At 20-30 years lesions which have been exposed to sunlight are likely to develop into malignity and to Morbus Bowen or Bowen’s carcinoma and then into squamous cell carcinoma. The general condition of the patient is good. Affects both sexes. Onset at any age, but usually in childhood, with more rapid development. Probably an autosomal recessive trait. The case in the blog that the embodiment linked to is a fairly famous case that has been making it's rounds on the internet for a while. I've personally seen this case posted on 6 different forums. If your looking for a interesting read on the subject you might want to look up this case study: Bundino S, Zina AM, Bernengo MG. Dyskeratosis congenita with epidermodysplasia verruciformis of Lewandowsky and Lutz. Dermatologica. 1978; 156:15-23.

"Creo" means "I believe," not "I create." Are you using internet translations for the "I created this for myself," thing? Because I read it as "I believe it, myself."
But, I've only gone through your basic intermediate Spanish class.

Perhaps I translated wrong. I took my Spanish classes 10 years ago which is why I said that it was a bad translation to start with.
edit: Seems that creo does mean believe. Guess that makes this another dead end. I suppose I was just jumping at any possibly lead. Things have been moving SO slow on here lately. I'm about to bale on the entire endeavor. Everyone else I know from this forum has already given up on it. The embodiment just doesn't seem to engage the members as much as past leaders. O well.

It's actually an exact duplicate of putting in the text in babelfish.

If This is happening then why are you going to summon its creator?

If This is happening then why are you going to summon its creator? Asag has little to do with any modern day illnesses. He's "retired", for lack of a better word. I'm not even sure if I could call him dead. I will only give Asag enough power during the summoning so that he may speak. Aediastikos and Maraino were the primary figures behind the Sickness. If Aediastikos wasn't lying or bluffing, then that disease pictured in the website above was mostly his doing.

...and how will this summoning affect us? Well, it'll help us to gain information on Aediastikos and track down any possible leads on how we can prepare to fight him. If you're speaking of side-effects or something like that, though, I do have to admit that there is a chance you will suffer from... well, night terrors and the like afterwards. It is possible that a temporary fragment of Asag's current being will be left behind in anyone who participate's mind. It will be a weak little thing and nothing to really worry about.

It'll definitely be within this week, but I'll probably hold a poll on when to actually do it. Since participation numbers have dropped since the incident with SomethingAwful, I have to choose a time that is likely to allow most of the active members to participate.

Belated reply, but as for the "I'm creating" bit of the translation, I got confused between crear (to create) and creer (to believe). Unless crear is irregular, they're both "creo" for first person singular, present tense.
And no, I did not use any internet translation site. I don't trust them, since their translations are crap quality more often than not.

Ah, it seems to have some connection to HPV. Interesting, considering there was recently a vaccine created for it.
