Since many seem to be gathered here tonight, I have decided to take advantage of this by asking each of you to clear your minds, bring yourself into a state of fear like in the last ritual (except focus more on fear for the world and not just yourself), and, after subjecting yourself to this for how long as you think sufficient, write the first sentence that comes to mind.
I will not have you observed during the ritual (most of the volunteers and/or their masters are focusing on their own problems right now anyway), but I'm going to assume none of you will lie.
There's something we need to know. It's been hinted at in rituals, rumors, riddles, and pretty much everything given to us by outside sources. I am convinced that, if we take the sentences we pluck from our most vulnerable moments, we can reshape them to get some idea of what is going on. We have about half the pieces of the puzzle; perhaps this will give us a few more.
I was going to use another ritual to summon Asag, but this one seems more safe and efficient so long as people participate. I think, in whatever you would call the domain he rests in, he has received the question we have for him. Hopefully he will be compliant. It would be to his benefit.

I thought we were suppose to stay away from feelings of fear today as those feelings would make us less confident and open us up for attack.

It is fear of this day itself (and the bad luck surrounding it) that makes you most vulnerable. I suggest you think of rational world-ending threats. edit: And by that I mean something scientific or reasonable. Think of something you can believe in. |

I completed this exercise exactly the same as we were instructed to before.
I imagined being alive during fall out after a global nuclear war. This has always terrified me. When have nightmares it's always about this end of the world situation where we are all screwed in the most horrifying painful way.
At the end words from the Beatles song "Within and Without You" kept playing through my head over and over.
This line is the line that repeated like it was stuck on a loop and I couldn't recall the beginning of the song or the end just this one repeating verse:
"Try to realize it's all within yourself no-one else
can make you change
And to see you're really only very small,
and life flows on within you and without you."
It sucks because it is still stuck in my head.

I'm afraid I won't be able to participate tonight. I will attempt, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get the focus needed. My fiancee is home this evening and finds it difficult to remain quiet for 5 minutes, let alone 20.

A reminder to those of you who may think you are done or have not already begun: With this, you can take as much time as you want, though it'd probably be best to get in at least three minutes where you're truly scared.

Well, I saw something that was either a comet or an asteroid collide with Earth. I saw this from 2 different angles. One from space and the other from the top of a an extremely tall building, looking upwards at a 45 degree angle. Both times that it hit (during the ritual) I could almost feel my house jarring very loudly and violently through my hardwood floors. From the outerspace view the explosion looked like a medium-sized yellow blip (like a shitty 80's anime) But in the 2nd view the comet/asteroid hit the ground very fast and caused a gigantic explosion, followed by a mushroom cloud. I could see trees on fire, hot boiling ocean waves and people disintergrating in various stages (like being turned to dust while some had skin and meat being torn from the bone) I also saw people who were choking to death from the fall-out. People didn't even have time to panic, it was that fast. |

So I mentioned that a temporary piece of Asag will be left within you after this ritual's over in an earlier thread, right?
This piece will more than likely try to talk to you well after the ritual is over. It should wear off in a day or so, but please report any strange messages you see anywhere to me.

I didn't get great results, i used the minmum amount of scary things to do during the ritual, blindfolded in a corner without light; But i did see a few things. The first thing i saw was the world, and then a bright blinding light. I saw buildings, people, places surounded by a vast, dark emptiness, and then enveoped by a wave of nothingness. I also saw people being murdered, like people i know, but i think that's just because i was really scared. I also kept thinking of what you said about the hunger in the closet and kept thinking he was in my closet and would come out and do things to me worse than death.
