An informant (the same mentioned in NEWS9) has told me that Amaguq has been running a "game" of his own - one that seems strikingly similar to what you all have taking part in.
Amaguq is rounding up his own followers, presumably to aide the Other Union. These followers have kept in contact with one another through a now-defunct chatroom (which Amaguq supposedly did not take place in) and strange email exchanges Amaguq has caused them all to start.
I do not yet know what exactly it was he used to lure them into his game, but it must be something interesting.
Once he has had his use of them, he will more than likely have them all killed. I am about to ask at least one of you to perform a large favor.
Amaguq will be starting his own message board. However, registrations will be closed to the general public. You will have had to exchange email information to know the correct word/phrase to send into him before you account is approved. Based on what my informant has told me so far, I should be able to give you that.
Amaguq will more than likely have many riddles and mind games to play with you all. He will try and dredge up dark secrets about yourself in tell-all threads posing as part of the game. We did this once or twice, I'll admit, but he plans on making this a constant occurrence. He only wants the information so that he can manipulate his followers further.
If I select you, your task will be to join his forums and gather information. It's safe to assume he's made many alterations to the truth, but a story at least somewhat resembling what has gone on here must be known by its "players". He'll probably be having them do rituals and other activities as well. Any information about this will be important.
He has fewer followers than we do, but they are a bit more active, having no experienced anything like the SomethingAwful incident. Blend in with them as well as you can.
This will be a bit of a dangerous attack, though I can assure you that Amaguq has no Observers of his own, and it seems members of the Other Union have not bothered supplying him with their own.
I will announce your selection and give you the proper starting info in a private message. You will send me all relevant information through your own private message.
To volunteer to be a candidate for this, simply take the poll. The message board should open soon, but I'm going to have to finish the next step in all of this (retrieving the last bit of information from my informant) before I can set you off.
If you were not here when the letter alteration took place, say so, and I will send you an encrypted line from a randomly chosen book.
