Here is an update for you all.

On Tuesday, the children will return to speak to me about their observations. On Wednesday, I shall post about how video six will be released. It will more than likely involve me choosing someone to answer a phone call. The choice will be made based upon the observations and people volunteering to be candidates (DO NOT VOLUNTEER NOW PLEASE).

The videos are going to start changing a little. The traditional elements will stay the same, but... well, there will be some changes. Even Paranoia can see the red in blood.

Now I shall be up front with many of you on some things. Some of you may want to know what is in it for you to work with me. Closure. These videos brought you here. You obviously wanted to know something. Closure is what you will get. This chapter in the story will end. Hopefully everything I and my predecessor have done will affect the world in enough subtle ways that Paranoia will have the upper hand in 2012. He already has an alliance of sorts, which is a good sign. He's been feeling stronger lately, too.

Using my limited powers to their fullest, I have tried to glimpse a little bit ahead a few times. I have seen what will happen in the coming weeks.

I have never mentioned exactly how many videos there are. I know two common theories are that there are either 333 videos or 9. The latter is true. I apologize if this disappoints any of you.

There is a messenger. I do not know who they are. I have severe trouble observing them. It is not Jamie. It is someone who only recently entered this "game".

Someone is listening to my voice. They find themselves being watched. They are very, very nervous.

Somebody is laying face down on the ground. They can sleep now. They will have plenty of time to rest.

More rifts will occur as Maraino, Father Paranoia, and Calliope fight one another. Many people will become paranoid. Many will become ill. Many will get strange little songs stuck in their head. Even stranger things will begin to happen.

A group of people are satisfied, but a small part of them is also very afraid. They do not know what to believe anymore.

Someone will go home with a book. It may belong to them until the day they die. It will be their responsibility.

More updates to come at later times.

I'm delighted to see some news after a nervous night, i probably should not have fallen asleep with the mp3 player on shuffle, some stuff didn't sound quite right...

I was thinking about all of this while in church today, might as well be a cult, some of this so called christianity that i was born into in my family. Judgement day was slightly segued into the sermon, i slightly laughed inside. I do ponder who is what in what was just said though, and how this affects everything...

ilovetofix, if I may be so bold as to ask, how can you have trouble observing someone? Externalities, or through a specific trait of that person? Also re: postings between now and Wednesday, will the stories be updated or new stories added?

A little bit of both. I am really not good at observing without children to help anyway. I can only get vague ideas from what the person may be thinking and sensing. I do not know this person's location, so I cannot send children. I just know that they are important.

They may not even be a messenger. Oh, they more than likely believe themselves to be that, but it is possibly a trick. I would not put it pass Maraino to trick someone into thinking they are a messenger, when in reality they are a sacrifice or "red herring".

edit: Oh, and the answer to your second question depends on how busy I am. I have been working with my voice a bit lately. I am afraid it currently sounds like a rusty door hinge.

great to hear an update, ive been kind of on edge since i started to really get into this thing...noticing things subtly different...quite intriguing

The Children have been observing us. You and others are watching over the Children. The interlopers and other brothers have surely taken notice, and you are aware of them as well. There are many that have nothing to do with this work who have or will soon hear of it. But very little action has taken place, either of piecing together our knowledge or of using it to produce results. We are mortal, and as such we must sometimes be led. We wish to know what is expected of us. Should we search for the history of the videos? If so, why does it matter? Should we seek to distribute the videos as widely as possible? Or is our role in this simply to wait?

You are to follow the going-ons. You are to do what I say. You are to help (in small, subtle) ways to nudge mankind onto the right path. The very existence of these videos helps Paranoia's cause. My very presence in the public further helps it. Everything has one purpose: to help mankind take the better path.

Just because the moves in a game of chess seem small and incidental, does not mean they are unimportant or are not part of some larger plan. Every pawn, rook, knight, and bishop matters.

As for the history of all this, I have revealed quite a bit. It may take some reading through a lot of the threads and other information, but it's mostly there. The few things that haven't been revealed will soon be.

I am probably sounding like i am answering for love, my apologies, but, i do not think it is the time for knowing of these things, at least not yet.

An idea, with relation to the chess analogy, we will likely see the ending, but it will have already arrived and the game is finished. We are only to learn beforehand, and to observe and plot a strategy along the way.

Right, but I think he wanted more reasons why the "peak of art and science" path would be bad in the long run.

If everyone's occupied with art and science, who's just doing what needs to be done? Making sure we get food? Keeping things clean?

Plus, there's the old adage that once you reach the top, there's nowhere to go but down.

Struggle is part of the human experience, particularly in Greek culture. Even today, if you ask a Greek how he's doing, he'll likely respond with something to the effect of "We are struggling." It embodies the idea that they're still working hard. It's the work, not the outcome, that matters.
